Ask your AI app
Ask your AI app for images, video and edits, and find everything in your Batch Banana library.

Overview
Once your AI app is connected, you ask for images the way you'd ask a colleague. The app picks a model, checks the price, makes the images and hands you a link to each file. It can also edit images, make video, and find what you made before, so a request can build on earlier work.
An example: images for a landing page
Say you're building the website for Halvard, a small chocolate maker in Bergen, in a coding agent such as Claude Code. The shots of its cobalt sea-salt bar are already in a Halvard project in Batch Banana. You could ask:
Find the Halvard bar shots in my Halvard project and use them as references. Make three wide hero images of the bar on a wooden ferry bench in low winter sun. Tell me the price before you start, file them under Halvard, and save the files to public/images.
Here is what the app does with that:
- It looks up the project and searches your library for the bar shots.
- It asks for a price and tells you, before any credits are spent.
- It makes the images with the photos attached as references, filed under the project.
- It waits for them to finish and gets a link to each file.
- A coding agent that can run commands then downloads the files into your project.
Because the request names the project, the app finds the right references and files the new images where you'll look for them.
Things to ask
- "Which image models are good for product photos, and what does each cost?"
- "Make one image of the Halvard bar on a snowy bench by a fjord."
- "Remove the background from the last three images."
- "Make a short video of snow falling past the bar in this photo."
- "How much would 8 of those cost at the highest resolution?"
What it costs
Looking up models, searching your library and getting a price are free. Images, video and edits that cost credits are paid from the workspace you connected, at the same prices as in the app. Some edits cost nothing.
Credits are taken when a job starts. If a job fails, its credits go back to the workspace. See Failed generations. If the workspace runs out, the app is told to add credits in Batch Banana.
Where your work goes
Everything the app makes lands in your Batch Banana library, next to the work you made in the app. If the request names a project, the work is filed there too.
The results view
Apps that can show it display results inline in a Batch Banana results view, which fills in as each image finishes. Other apps show the results as links. The view stops checking after 20 minutes. If a job is still running by then, ask for the result again later.
Tips
- Say how many images you want. If the request doesn't, Batch Banana makes 4.
- Ask for a price before a large request, especially an edit on many images, which costs the per-image price times the count.
- Name the model when you know it. When you don't, ask which models fit the job.
- Point at earlier images instead of describing them. "The bar shots in Halvard" gives the model the real wrapper to work from. A description leaves the model to guess what it looks like.
Limits
- Up to 8 images per request.
- An edit takes up to 256 images per request, or 40 if the edit costs credits, and up to 4 reference images.
- Each connected app can import 10 images from links per hour.
FAQ
Who can open the file links? Anyone who has a link can open that file. Share links the way you'd share the files themselves.
Can it delete my images? No. Nothing the app can do deletes anything. See MCP tools for the full list.
