Postage stamp print: a small rectangular design inside a white margin with a scalloped, perforated edge. Fine engraved line work and hatching, or flat offset color with halftone dots, in two to four inks such as deep green, brick red, cobalt or magenta on off-white paper. Numerals and lettering are set into the design, sometimes crossed by a faint postmark.
