# Library

Find, sort and reuse everything your workspace has made or uploaded.

## Overview

The library is every image and video in your workspace, newest first, in one grid. Use it to find last week's cover, pull up the shots a client liked, or bring in your own photos to work from.

It follows the [project menu](https://batchbanana.com/docs/organize/projects#switch-projects) at the top of the page. With a project open, you see only that project's work. Choose **All generations** to see the whole workspace.

## Find an image

Select the search icon at the top and type to find images by the words in their prompts. "lantern" finds every image whose prompt mentions a lantern.

Uploads have no prompt, so search doesn't find them. To find an upload, open **Filters**, set **Source** to **Uploads**, and narrow by **Date** or **People** instead.

The **Filters** menu narrows the grid by:

- **People**: who made it.
- **Date**: today, the last 7 days or the last 30 days.
- **Source**: **Everything**, **Generations**, **Uploads** or **Favorites**.

On a wide window, the **All**, **Images** and **Videos** buttons beside the menu switch between media. Once a filter is on, **Clear filters** appears at the bottom of the menu.

## Favorites

Favorite an image from its menu or from the lightbox. **Source** > **Favorites** then shows only your favorites. Use them as a shortlist for a review.

Favorites are yours alone. A teammate's favorites don't show in your list, and yours don't show in theirs.

## Upload your own images

Select **Upload**, or drop files anywhere on the grid. They go into the project that's open. JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and HEIC work, up to 15 MB each.

An upload works like any other image in the library. You can add it to a [collection](https://batchbanana.com/docs/organize/collections) or edit it.

## Look closer

Click an image to open it in the lightbox. Use the arrow keys, or **J** and **K**, to move through the grid without closing it.

The sidebar shows the model, the prompt, the reference images it used and what it cost, with buttons to download, favorite and copy the image. **Edit** opens it in the [editor](https://batchbanana.com/docs/create/edit#the-editor). The button at the top left of the image hides the sidebar, so the image gets the whole window.

Right-click any image in the grid for the same actions plus a few more, such as **Add to references**, **Remove background** and **Describe**.

## Select many

Shift-click an image to start a selection. After that, a click adds or removes an image, and Shift-click selects everything between. Hover over a date heading and choose **Select all** to take that whole day. Press Escape to clear the selection.

The toolbar at the bottom acts on the whole selection: **Download** saves them as one ZIP file, **Edit** runs one edit on all of them, **Favorite** and **Delete**.

**Favorite** flips each image, so a selection that mixes favorites and non-favorites swaps both. **Delete** does not ask first, so check the selection before you use it.

## FAQ

**Who can see my library?**
Everyone in the workspace sees every image in it, uploads included. Favorites are the only part that's personal.
